  • New for Spring 2013

Posted on April 4, 2013 by Rancourt & Co.

here is a quick look at some new items we've released for early spring. There will be more to follow plus a Spring lookbook.

We fleshed out our belt collection by adding a full line-up of Ready Made shell cordovan and calfskin belts. The shell cordovan belts are exactly what you'd expect, unique, durable, and versatile. The calfskin belts are a bit more sophisticated than our chromexcel belt collection and work great as a dressier option.

  • Introducing American Bison

Posted on March 19, 2013 by Rancourt & Co.

American Bison is a leather that we've been working with for a couple of years now, however, it is not a traditional type of leather for handsewn shoes so it is still relatively new to us. Each season we appreciate it more and more. There are many reasons that we love Bison leather, but mostly because of the story. The Bison is an animal that is unique to the western United States, and is a symbol of America. Add that to its distinguishing natural grain and the inherent durability and water-resistance and we have a match made in heaven. We're introducing three new styles cut from the finest American Bison pull-up leather. This tannage has a wonderful hand to it and a moderate amount of pull-up, making distinctive shoes. We paired these bison uppers with the finest Lactae Hevea outsoles. We're sure you won't find a better quality or more comfortable casual shoe anywhere. Buy them here

  • The Art of the Handsewn and Crafting Blake Boots

Posted on March 4, 2013 by Rancourt & Co.

We recently wrapped production on two videos that we are proud to add to our family. The first is on the art of crafting genuine handsewn shoes, and the second is a reflection of how Blake boots and shoes take shape. Local Filmmaker Craig Saddlemire worked with us to produce these beautiful and informative videos and we couldn't be happier with the results. Please enjoy.

  • Terrapin Stationers NYC

Posted on February 26, 2013 by Rancourt & Co.

Terrapin Stationers is an old school engraved stationery company located in NYC. The company has been engraving and producing stationery for New York City's tastemakers since 1913. Ted Harrington took the helm in 1990, stepping in for his father.

The company, originally called Stationers engraving company, was working on a branding project for Jerry Garcia called Terrapin. When Garcia passed, Ted adopted the Terrapin moniker for his own brand.

We are currently working on a collaboration with Terrapin for note cards and other items with beautiful water color illustrations of our shoes. More to come later.
