Description
This is the epitome of classic Maine style. The Read boat shoe is the perfect summer shoe. Not only do they look great with a pair of chinos or shorts, but they perform just as a boat shoe should. The Horween Chromexcel is highly water resistant and incredibly durable, and we've kept it unlined so you can wear them without socks. The non-marking rubber boat soles have siping which makes them stick like glue to slippery surfaces. A pair of chestnut leather laces wraps around the heel to provide an extra snug fit. Each pair is handcrafted in Lewiston, Maine USA using our Genuine Handsewn Moccasin construction.

Beyond expectations

Basically, it is just a boat shoe, but it it an incredibly well made boat shoe. The main thing for me beyond quality of the shoe is the color. The brown shades of s o many leather goods today look ā€œdeadā€. They lack the richness of the color that Rancourt used in their Chicago Tan leathers.

I love the rich color of the shoe and it goes with everything! Very well made! Buying pair of Ranger-Mocs in same color.
