Description
In 1967, David Rancourt started the Rancourt family on the path to crafting some of the highest quality footwear in the world. The 1967 Collection is a reflection of the Rancourt family's heritage in shoemaking. Each pair in the 1967 collection is unlined and cut from heavyweight Chromepak from Horween, a leather that was ubiquitous in Maine moccasin making in the 1960's. This 10-15oz. leather is unparalleled in durability as it is remarkably thick and rugged while the high oil content helps it retain some pliability while adding exceptional pull-up. The Vibram 232 Mini-lug soles lend a traditional look that complements the heavy chromepak leather with added versatility and durability.

Holy hell these boots are built like tanks, and they are unlike any other boot I own (my collection ranges from Alden Indy's to AE Liverpools to custom Wesco engineer boots). The chromepak leather is gorgeous and beyond rugged, but my feet are going to suffer during the (likely very lengthy) break in period. I highly recommend these - they are definitely not your average moc toe boot.
