The Blake chukka is our version of the classic desert boot. As versatile as any pair in your collection, the desert boot is a must have for every man's wardrobe. Our Blake Chukka comes unlined in Horween Bulldog leather. Each pair is burnished by hand to give this leather it's distinct highs and lows, adding to the unique quality of every pair. The soles are Reltex Lactae Hevea crepe soles, a natural latex sole with comfort and durability that is second to none. Blake Construction, Made in Maine, USA.

Shoe Rating/Issues

Understanding the are hand crafted, somewhat disappointed on what appears to be sole dressing being carelessly applied around the toe cap area as noted in the photo. Secondly, a hole is noted in the sole welt.

Chukka Blister Blues

Beautiful shoes, but the leather rubbed against the bony part of my ankles, creating blisters. Recommend new users wear thick socks to break in.

New Blake chukka

While the craftsmanship looks quality, these are not in the ballpark of how comfortable the old Chukkas were. The old ones were special. These will clearly take a long time to break in and I’m not sure I have the patience.
