Description
Each pair of our classic horsebit loafers is skillfully crafted using traditional techniques. As as greater level of sophistication we have crafted ours from hand burnished Italian calfskin and given them a full leather lining for added structure and support. Each pair is bottomed with our watertight leather outsole, it is oil treated for water and abrasion resistance. The signature snaffle bit hardware that gives this loafer it's name is made from nickel plated antique brass in Japan.

The horsebit loafer is another one of those timeless pairs of shoes that embodies the preppy or Ivy style of dress. One of the first styles of shoe to bridge the gap between dress and casual, some would say that you never wear these loafers with socks. They are best paired with dress slacks or chinos with a polo or oxford shirt.

Tan Calf Horsebit Loafers--Just Great!

Beautiful & well made. Fit just right. One thing though, they are darker & more light brown colored than the light tan color shown in the online picture. Still great though. Can wear in fall & spring as well as summer. Happy.

Well Constructed, finish needs work.

These shoes are built really well. They're a bit tight on me but I'll take that instead of flopping around. hopefully they'll break in a bit as I wear them. Fresh out of the box there were some dye/polish stains that I feel like shouldn't have made it past QC. I have RenoMat on hand so I was able to clean them up, then went over them with a Cognac polish to make them pop a little. I like them well enough that after I was sure they fit I bought another pair of Rancourt's.
