Description
In 1967, Mike’s father began handsewing moccasins in Lewiston, Maine. Mike learned the craft from him, and carries it forward today, with three generations of the family carrying the name. This year, as the country marks 250 years, we built something to mark it the way we know how: by hand. The Read, in a colorway we’ll make once, with a commemorative stamp inside the sock liner. Full-grain pull-up leather, unlined for sockless wear, non-marking siped soles, leather heel laces. Handcrafted in Lewiston using our true Handsewn Moccasin construction.
