Like with every Rancourt shoe I have ever owned, the actual color runs a bit darker than it appears in the images. If you’ve purchased Rancourt before then you already know, if its your first time, then something to be aware of.

The color of these shoe’s do trend on the lighter side of the spectrum, but there is a noticeably darker undertone to them that really brings the entire look together in a way that the images dont do it justice for.

This is the first time I have ordered a Rancourt product that isnt a boat shoe and for the past 8 years, if it hasnt been a Rancourt manufactured boat shoe, then it hasnt gone on my feet. But I have unfortunately discovered the hard way, that there is an inherent limit to the durability of soles used for boat shoes and that if I want to keep my boat shoes in top condition then I need to start getting mocs that are designed for the situations that beat my boat shoes up the most. So far these look to be perfect for the job.

Great color hybrid shoe

I wanted a medium-tone shoe to pair with light pants - mostly summer. The color on these is excellent. grey/khaki that looks terrific with light pants and a dark polo.

My only issue/question is the sole choice. It's a very solid winter sole, good for snow and ice. Why put that on a 3-season shoe? I like the firmness on the three-eyelet shoe. But perhaps a softer Vibram sole would have been optimal. I cannot see myself wearing this in snow and ice. That said, I do like this shoe. Perhaps it will break in over time and become a favorite.
