Description

In 1967, the legacy of Rancourt family's shoemaking expertise began with David Rancourt. Today, the 1967 Collection honors that tradition by offering exceptional craftsmanship in every pair. Made from exquisite Cognac Bison leather, this newest addition boasts natural beauty and unique characteristics. Sourced from American Bison and tanned in Wisconsin, this leather is expertly treated to create a rich, textured appearance. The Vibram 232 Mini-lug soles add a touch of timelessness and durability to the already versatile and strong strong leather.

At Rancourt & Co. we have a deeply ingrained philosophy of exceptional craftsmanship. We believe in making things that last and we are constantly striving to improve the products we make and sell. We truly believe (and hope) that the items you buy from us will become heirlooms, they are 100% crafted in Maine with materials that will last generations so they can be passed down the line.

Awesome

These are the coolest most comfortable shoes ever. The bison just has a really different look to it and gets a lot of compliments. It’s also great that it made in USA.

Fantastically Made Footwear

This is my second pair of Rancourt & Co. shoes. Ironically, the first pair I bought about 12 years ago and they are the Venetian’s in No. 8 Shell Cordovan. They are some of the most comfortable and well made shoes that I own.

I own seven pairs of Alden shoes in both shell and regular leather and I have to say that in my opinion, Rancourt & Co. beats Alden in quality. Alden’s are well made shoes and can be reconstructed, but I’ve had some issues with mine over the years that in my opinion just should not have occurred for shoes costing that much money. I’ve had zero issues with my 12 year old pair of Rancourt & Co. Venetian’s in Shell No. 8.

I learned my lesson many years ago about buying a $100 - $200 pair of shoes every 18 months. Every 18 months you throw that money away for shoes that really are not worth repairing, or cannot be repaired. Spend the money on good shoes like Rancourt & Co. and you’ll have them for the rest of your life since they can be reconstructed.

Cheers!
