Description
This is the epitome of classic Maine style. The Read boat shoe is the perfect summer shoe. Not only do they look great with a pair of chinos or shorts, but they perform just as a boat shoe should. The Horween Chromexcel is highly water resistant and incredibly durable, and we've kept it unlined so you can wear them without socks. The non-marking rubber boat soles have siping which makes them stick like glue to slippery surfaces. A pair of chestnut leather laces wraps around the heel to provide an extra snug fit. Each pair is handcrafted in Lewiston, Maine USA using our Genuine Handsewn Moccasin construction.

Our Ready Made Collection is comprised of our best selling styles that we venture to keep in stock year round. We are only able to stock our best selling sizes so it is possible your size may not be in-stock. In that case you can place your order and your shoes will be made for you in 6 to 8 weeks.
If you are not satisfied with your purchase you have the right to return the unworn pair of shoes within 60 days of receiving the item for a refund or store credit.
Great last for casual handsewn shoes like boat shoes and ranger-mocs. Classic round toe like the 114 but slightly longer with a broader and taller toe box for a roomier fit. Order your normal Rancourt size. Sizing Guide
I’ve worn every boat shoe, and these became my “everyday shoes” as soon as they came out of the box. Break-in took no time; after only a few days they felt like I’d always owned them. Top quality. Perfect fit. I won’t need a new pair for some time, but when I do I’ll be coming back to Rancourt.

Hello Richard,
Thank you for the review! Your support is greatly appreciated.
The Read Boat Shoe by Rancourt & Company check all the boxes in what a classic boat shoe should be. They are good looking, well made and comfortable. An excellent value for the money.
I’ve worn this style boat shoe for almost 50 years and these are the best. On the water and off. I wish I knew about them earlier.
Rancourt & Company sets the standard for others to follow. Their shoes are fantastic.
Thank you!

Hello Gerard,
Thank you for the review! Your support is greatly appreciated.
These are the best made boat shoes on the planet! I really Searched the world online to see what I could find & these are the best full stop! Handmade in the USA, incredible Quality of materials & perfect stitching! This is how shoes should still be made! These are so inexpensive for the level of quality you get! I am in Canada so they ended up costing around $400 but that’s fine for a shoe like this! Cheers Tony
