Description
We're generally rather humble about our work, modesty is a virtue. However, this is an occasion that calls for bombast; the Porter boot is the most beautiful boot we've ever made. Thanks, in part, to the stunning Genuine Shell Cordovan used to make them . We took natural, unglazed shell cordovan and dyed it by hand using specially formulated aniline dyes. These dyes penetrate the leather to give the Shell this incredible depth of color and rich finish. Making these custom colors of Shell Cordovan, like Espresso, is an exhausting 10 step process that includes applying three coats of dye and then waiting at least 24 hours for it to dry before adding the finishing top coats. The shell gets multiple layers of wax and special, all natural, proprietary finishing creams before being burnished and buffed to perfection. This quarter brogue cap-toe boot is all about the details, we've pulled out all the stops to present you with the best craftsmanship we could muster.
The Porter boot also includes the best pair of leather laces in the world. These jaguar laces in Dark Brown are specially formulated to be water proof and incredibly durable. The bottoms are a very popular combination of leather midsole with a leather storm welt and the Vibram #430 mini-lug sole in black. AA antique brass eyelets provide a solid foundation for these beautiful laces with the top two rows being "speed hooks" for easy on and off.
While the Porter Boot may look like a casual boot, the sophistication present in this masterpiece makes it very easy to pull off with a heavy weight wool or tweed suit or your favorite pair of jeans. It's best paired with wool trousers.

Beautiful leather...
These are very nice and beautiful leather and construction. Boot fit a little strange for me ( her slip, just right at instep and tie) and hope it improves... I ordered an E ( usually wear a D) but looked at sizing instructions and previous fit. Was about 6 weeks late from delivery ( 3 months from order) but got a nice set of shoes trees as a gift when shipped. Good purchase and good value for cordovan boot and unique color and finish.

Best looking and wearing cordovan boots yet
Favorite pair of boots I’ve owned, truly great American craftsmanship and attention to detail + they’re made in a B width narrow too. I own some pairs of Alden’s - these are nicer in my opinion.

Really nice boots.
Am well-pleased with my Porter boots. The Rancourt description is spot on. Handsome boots/ first rate. Excellent piece of cordovan superbly finished in expresso. Stitching and detailing clean. Comfortable. Sizing similar to Alden or AE. Vibram sole should be durable. Multifunctional with wardrobe. Deserves your consideration if looking for cordovan boots.
