Description
The Vintage Venetian is inspired by the simple moccasins that David Rancourt made in the 1960's. This is an incredibly lightweight and flexible pair of loafers that call back to the early days of Ivy style. Genuine Handsewn Moccasin Construction. Made in Maine, USA.
Features
  • Classic Venetian Loafers
  • Unlined Horween Chromexcel Leather
  • Tan handsewing thread
  • Natural leather outsole
  • Genuine handsewn Moccasin construction. Made in Maine, USA.
  • Sizing: This loafer in unlined Chromexcel tends to run larger than our other shoes. It's best that these fit snug at first as they will stretch and conform to your feet. We recommend ordering a half size down from your normal size. eg. If you normally wear 10D, order 9.5D.

Vintage Venetian Loafer

These are very fine shoes - quickly feel "broken-in". Perfect for my summertime wear!

Comfy, unless you'e on a wet slick surface. Then deadly :)

So they're really comfy. I wound up ordering a half-size down from my Knox boots and both fit me just great. The quality is excellent. I thought the leather was really dry and "thirsty" when I first got them, but some oil on the inside and Venetian creme on the outside seemed to be what they wanted. They look great after you hit them with a horsehair brush. And they are a joy to wear. I will warn you that stepping off of a wet sidewalk onto a marble lobby is a death sentence. I'm going to find a local cobbler to glue a thin rubber sole on them if I can. (of course this is true of any all-leather soled shoe, not just these)
