Description
In 1967, David Rancourt started the Rancourt family on the path to crafting some of the highest quality footwear in the world. The 1967 Collection is a reflection of the Rancourt family's heritage in shoemaking. Each pair in the 1967 collection is unlined and cut from heavyweight Chromepak from Horween, a leather that was ubiquitous in Maine moccasin making in the 1960's. This 10-15oz. leather is unparalleled in durability as it is remarkably thick and rugged while the high oil content helps it retain some pliability while adding exceptional pull-up. The Vibram 232 Mini-lug soles lend a traditional look that complements the heavy chromepak leather with added versatility and durability.

Beautifully made, outstanding service

Just got my shoes after a bit of a delay, but customer service from David was terrific….responsive and accommodating. Only other comment is these seem to run large. I have another Rancourt shoe in size 8 that fits fine (I’m usually between an 8 & 8.5) and this one in an 8 seems large, though OK since I expect to wear them with a heavier sock.

Rancourt is the BEST in every way.

I don’t usually take the time to write these things, but because it’s Rancourt, I wanted to do it. The service is flawless. The people are great. But, the shows are amazing. The Venetian loafers I just purchased are just perfect. Plus, they’re unique. You won’t find anyone else wearing your shoes. You’ll have your own look. I almost never go to a social event where someone doesn’t ask about my Rancourt’s. Their shoes don’t need to be broken in... a few years ago I bought a pair of dress loafers and wore them all over DC straight out of the box in July. No other loafers would do that the way Rancourt’s do. If you’re looking at Alden... as I was... don’t. Rancourt is a national treasure and I love my recent purchase.
