Leather and craftsmanship is top notch. Hard to figure out your size and these are a little too long so they slip on the heel
The Beefroll Penny Loafer is our iconic shoe. Cut from unlined Horween Chromexcel it doesn't get any more Uniquely American than this. Chromexcel is the flagship leather from the iconic Horween Tannery in Chicago, IL. Chromexcel is impregnated with a proprietary blend of natural oils and waxes, this special tannage gives the leather a number of distinctive properties. It has a beautiful bright finish, unique "pull-up" character, soft and flexible structure, and a "self polishing" property. Over time the leather will "bloom", which means the oils and waxes make their way to the surface, leaving a light white film on the leather. It's as simple as buffing with a horsehair brush or soft cloth and you'll restore the beautiful finish of the leather. Learn more about Horween's Chromexcel leather here. and they have been exceeded. utterly outstanding product in every way.
Very very very comfortable from the very beginning! Also very durable.
My Brannock size is 14B. Maybe that would work, but B width is not available in 14. 1/2 size down was out because 13.5 just doesn’t exist in Rancourt land.
On to 13, which is available in all Rancourt widths. Unfortunately, B is too narrow and the D had way too much room over my instep even with tongue pads. I had to wear the Beefrolls with thick socks, which was kind of ridiculous for summer footwear. 13C might have worked, but alas, there are no C widths.
Aside from not fitting, the Beefroll loafers were fine.
