The Beefroll Penny Loafer is our most iconic style. Cut from unlined Horween Chromexcel it doesn't get any more uniquely American than this. Chromexcel is the flagship leather from the iconic Horween Tannery in Chicago, IL. Chromexcel is impregnated with a proprietary blend of natural oils and waxes, this special tannage gives the leather a number of distinctive properties. It has a beautiful bright finish, unique "pull-up" character, soft and flexible structure, and a "self polishing" property. Over time the leather will "bloom", which means the oils and waxes make their way to the surface, leaving a light white film on the leather. It's as simple as buffing with a horsehair brush or soft cloth and you'll restore the beautiful finish of the leather. Learn more about Horween's Chromexcel leather here. In addition to the unrivaled quality of Chromexcel, we've crafted these shoes without a leather lining and using our genuine handsewn moccasin construction. As you wear them your feet will warm up the leather and they will literally mold to your feet. We are absolutely confident that these will become your favorite pair of shoes. The Beefroll is rounded out with a natural leather midsole and our Watertight oiled leather outsole for a modern yet sophisticated dress-casual look. Genuine handsewn Moccasin construction. Made in Maine, USA. Sizing: The Beefroll Penny Loafer in unlined Chromexcel tends to run larger than our other shoes. It's best that these fit snug at first as they will stretch and conform to your feet. We recommend ordering a half size down from your normal size. eg. If you normally wear 10D, order 9.5D.

Excellent
Rancourt’s beefroll loafer is 10-star. Love ‘em. They are my third pair of shoes from Rancourt and I’ll keep buying more. Great quality and service!
Hello Scott,
Thank you for the review! Your support is greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Rancourt & Co.
I'm thoroughly pleased with these shoes. I did need to exchange them for a half-size smaller and the customer service was excellent, too!
Why can’t Alden make a loafer with this leather? Anyhow, nice shoe. Made in the US, a huge plus for me. Size approximately correct, no arch support to speak of, details slightly on the rough side.
Put a decent insole in it, it’s a keeper.
Put more quality work into it, charge more. My advice.
