Description
The Beefroll Penny Loafer is our most iconic style. Cut from unlined Horween Chromexcel it doesn't get any more uniquely American than this. Chromexcel is the flagship leather from the iconic Horween Tannery in Chicago, IL. Chromexcel is impregnated with a proprietary blend of natural oils and waxes, this special tannage gives the leather a number of distinctive properties. It has a beautiful bright finish, unique "pull-up" character, soft and flexible structure, and a "self polishing" property. Over time the leather will "bloom", which means the oils and waxes make their way to the surface, leaving a light white film on the leather. It's as simple as buffing with a horsehair brush or soft cloth and you'll restore the beautiful finish of the leather. Learn more about Horween's Chromexcel leather here.
In addition to the unrivaled quality of Chromexcel, we've crafted these shoes without a leather lining and using our genuine handsewn moccasin construction. As you wear them your feet will warm up the leather and they will literally mold to your feet. We are absolutely confident that these will become your favorite pair of shoes. The Beefroll is rounded out with a natural leather midsole and our Watertight oiled leather outsole for a modern yet sophisticated dress-casual look.

Our Ready Made Collection is comprised of our best selling styles that we venture to keep in stock year round. We are only able to stock our best selling sizes so it is possible your size may not be in-stock. In that case you can place your order and your shoes will be made for you in 6 to 8 weeks.

These loafers are beautiful, soft, and the leather smells wonderful straight out of the box. The construction was gods for the price, but the last shape was very disappointing. The tire box for well and exactly as expected after following the size guide, sizing down a half size from my usual. Even with sizing down however the heels on these are way too wide to grip my already wide (E width) foot. After breaking them in they continue to flop around on my heels. These were an experiment that did not work out for me unfortunately.

Thank you for the review! We're sorry to hear that this size did not work for you. Please keep in mind for future reference that if for any reason a shoe you purchase from us does not fit, we're happy to exchange them for you. By the sounds of it, you may have been better off with a D width.
Shoes are made with quality leather. They take a bit of breaking in but I can tell they are shoes that will last a long time. Ordering a half size smaller than normal is an accurate recommendation.
