Baxter Ranger Moc - Natural

I’ve had these for a couple weeks now, and really happy with them. I’m a relative newcomer to Mocs like these — previously had a somewhat similar pair of Sperry’s that I wore into the ground, and the step up in quality, construction and comfort on the Rancourts was incredibly obvious as soon as I took them out of the box and tried them on. Extremely comfortable, with maybe a day or two of break in time.

Best of all is the pull-up leather. It’s only been a couple weeks, and they’re already noticeably darkening and taking on interesting textures. The first day I had them I got a small chemical stain on the vamp and thought I’d ruined them, but it’s already smoothed out to the point where I can’t see it unless I’m looking.

Really good stuff. Worth the (admittedly pretty long) wait.

I was searching for a quality moccasin, with a solid construction and superior comfort due my feet problems (pronation and plantar fasciitis) but without compromising the design/aesthetic. After some research I found out the Baxter Ranger Mocs. It´s a beautiful casual shoe, robust and comfortable. First i ordered the wrong size (10US) so I had to make a second order (10,5US) (I´m a size 9,5UK on Crockett and Jones, Paraboot and 10,5US on Red Wing). I had to wait a little bit for the delivery, pay duties, deal with the custom process,, etc. but it was worthy! I´ve ordered already another pair of Baxter´s (Rye Crazy Horse) and Acadia Chukka (natural). I just hope they will last long. I´ll remain client for life, I'm sure... The only thing that I would change is the measure of the box. For someone that likes to use shoe trees and keep the shoes inside the boxes, they are too narrow. Keep up with the good work Rancourt&Co!

Never write reviews, but these shoes deserve one. Hands down my favorite shoes. These get more wear than anything in the summer and transitional months.

These can be worn with shorts, chinos, jeans, etc. and look great with everything.

The quality of the leather and stitching is superb.

The Lactae Hevea soles are amazing... love the lug look and they are insanely comfortable. Great for walking around town and don't have to worry about water like with leather soles.

I'm sure these will last decades, but I would buy another pair as a back up if Rancourt ever stopped making these.

For sizing, I wear a 9.5D in Alden loafers and most other loafers. I wear 10D in these. Fit perfect.

I’m impressed. This is my first order and an upgrade after decades of a different moc. The shoe is high quality and very comfortable. The thicker sole is very nice to walk on.
