Horween Tannery in Chicago, IL. Chromexcel is impregnated with a proprietary blend of natural oils and waxes, this special tannage gives the leather a number of distinctive properties. It has a beautiful bright finish, unique "pull-up" character, soft and flexible structure, and a "self polishing" property. Over time the leather will "bloom", which means the oils and waxes make their way to the surface, leaving a light white film on the leather. Sizing: The Beefroll Penny Loafer in unlined Chromexcel tends to run larger than our other shoes. It's best that these fit snug at first as they will stretch and conform to your feet. We recommend ordering a half size down from your normal size. eg. If you normally wear 10D, order 9.5D.
