Nice boots
I have had the boots for a month. They are well made and very comfortable. My feet are 11.5 D on Brannock device and I ordered 11.5. They fit well so I would say the boots run true to size. The outsoles are really nice.

These are beautiful boots that are nicely put together. Very, very little loose grain on the natural chromexcel used. Fit is true to my Brannock device size though toe box isn’t overly roomy, so keep in mind if you plan to wear heavy socks in which case you may want to size up. The soles are great, comfortable and quiet when walking on hard surfaces. Almost no break in required.
Bought these as my daily walking boots for USPS, I like to support American companies when possible and liked the look of these boots and I love the Lactae Havea soles which I have on a sneaker from another company. The soles are super comfortable, the boot is pretty good looking but there are two issues, the ankle opening is kinda big so big that I thought maybe I should have went down a half size but I think the issue is I'm an 11 on my left foot and a 11 1/2 on the right so 11 1/2 was probably the safest bet I think the boot is just styled that way where the ankle opening is pretty big but the heel is cupped, that or I just have thin ankles. This isn't a great wet weather or snow boot. Also they sorta advertise it as a wet weather boot in the description and because of the stitching on top the water gets through there. I will say the leather itself seems to be water resistant so with wool socks you're not stepping in puddles of water but your feet will get wet/damp just from walking in moderate rain/wet grass. The stitching on the top of my boots wasn't perfect but I expect that from a partially handsewn/made product but it seems like those imperfections where the leather isn't perfectly overlapped or just the method of sewing let a decent amount of water in. I have tried waterproofing near the top stitching with natural water repellent from beeswax and other materials and it seems to have helped somewhat but my feet are still getting wet. I would still recommend this…
Hello Frank,
Thank you for the review! The ankle opening is made a little larger to accommodate a thick sock however, yes, your two different-sized feet and thin ankles could play a part in this as well.
As for your comment about this boot in wet weather, your feedback is fair due to that this is a hand-sewn boot. Although it is water-resistant, it is not necessarily made for heavy rain or else yes, there's potential that water can get into the seams.
Your support and feedback are greatly appreciated, Frank!

I love everything about these boots. They are super comfy . The craftsmanship is top notch. Not much break in involved. I have several mocks and these are top of the heap for comfort. I sized down 1/2 size , mine are a b width. That have a medium arch. They are special and will be taken care of.

The first pair was a bit big but I fixed the issue with Ecco insoles. I loved them so much tho that I got one pair for dress and one pair for hiking
