Description
In 1967, David Rancourt started the Rancourt family on the path to crafting some of the highest quality footwear in the world. The 1967 Collection is a reflection of the Rancourt family's heritage in shoemaking. Each pair in the 1967 collection is unlined and cut from heavyweight Chromepak from Horween, a leather that was ubiquitous in Maine moccasin making in the 1960's. This 10-15oz. leather is unparalleled in durability as it is remarkably thick and rugged while the high oil content helps it retain some pliability while adding exceptional pull-up. The Vibram 232 Mini-lug soles lend a traditional look that complements the heavy chromepak leather with added versatility and durability.

Purchased a pair 2 weeks ago and they're great! Clean, simple, and comfortable. Fit true-to-size. The thick Chromepak leather and Vibram soles give them a solid, nuke-proof look. Oh, and they look great with chinos!

Tried a pair on for the custom fitting option, and found the Venetian to fit me perfectly, so I ordered a pair. Like a nicely fitted loafer, combined with a boat shoe, it's a great overall design from Rancourt in my view.
This shoe is wonderful & while fairly simple it has a unique look for a Venetian loafer. The leather is top notch and has been breaking in well. I've only worn them in the house while breaking in & have made the decision to keep them as indoor only house shoes. I now have another identical pair on order that will be used for everyday use.
