In 1967, David Rancourt started the Rancourt family on the path to crafting some of the highest quality footwear in the world. The 1967 Collection is a reflection of the Rancourt family's heritage in shoemaking. Each pair in the 1967 collection is unlined and cut from heavyweight Chromepak from Horween, a leather that was ubiquitous in Maine moccasin making in the 1960's. This 10-15oz. leather is unparalleled in durability as it is remarkably thick and rugged while the high oil content helps it retain some pliability while adding exceptional pull-up. The Vibram 232 Mini-lug soles lend a traditional look that complements the heavy chromepak leather with added versatility and durability.

Excellent fit & feel
Took about 3-5 days for initial break-in. Great feeling shoes wear them all the time now. Very well constructed. So happy with these, I bought a pair for my son.

Beautiful, classic shoes
Really outstanding quality--the leather is as good as it gets, thick, supple and a little old-fashioned, like a classic raw leather belt. The workmanship is flawless. The soles are possibly a shade stiff, but they are comfortable, grippy and very durable. The shoes are true to size.
I've walked about thirty miles in them now, on city sidewalks and urban trails, and they're breaking in nicely. I expect to keep these a long time.
(A comment about the ordering ordering rather than the shoes themselves: I highly recommend avoiding the free shipping--go for the upgrade or get really haphazard results from FedEx. After multiple random delays I found my shoes had been delivered to an unmarked, unaddressed garbage service door at a building nearby...shameful!)

1967 Venetian - worth the wait!
The Venitians took longer than was estimated to receive. However, it was worth the wait as these are super high quality and fit perfectly. The customer service I received along the way from David was excellent as well. These shoes would be impossible to “wear out” and I believe they will age very well given the beautiful leather. These are even higher quality than I expected & worth the wait!

Great style to this shoe. Keep in mind that the leather is heavy and the edge at foot entry is unfinished.
