Harrison Boot Redux - Khaki Orion Fleshout

I have an old and slightly small pair of Harrison Khaki Orion boots which I have been wearing for some time and I have some better fitting full leather similar Harrison boots which I constantly wear and also really like. However the suede is lighter, softer and breathes better. I wanted more of the suede qualities of the Harrison Boot in the proper size. Also, I wanted the leather softer and better breathing so I requested unlined boots with flesh side of the Orion leather inside, low nape and the mudguard flesh side out . (Almost all boots come with a thin leather bonded to make a smother dressed interior so your socks slide better and keep the leather stiffer.)

My order arrived a few days ago and I have been wearing them constantly. I love the feel of the boot around my ankles, the breathability, the lightness of the boot and the feeling of rugged slippers. I won't be wearing them in snow/rain/rugged trails, but they are unbelievably comfortable. Well worth the extra money. Recommend.

These boots are great. I have about a dozen pairs of boots from various good quality brands (Allen Edmonds, Grant Stone, Oak Street Bootmakers, Gokey). Always wanted a "true moccasin" boot and these were on sale. I'm very satisfied. The moccasin construction cups your foot and is soft while still being supportive. Add the Vibram Cristy outsoles and the comfort is just awesome. No break-in needed. I ordered true to size and fit is perfect for me. Highly recommended.

I'm really digging these. Especially the rough suede patch on the heel, adds a subtle contrast. The weight is good for all day walking in the city. I dig the Christy sole, I'll prolly ask for that sole next time I do a custom order. They aren't stiff and are comfortable in sedentary scenarios. Highly recommend.
