Handsewn moccasin last with classic round toe. This is our longest and broadest toe box handsewn last. Slightly longer and wider than the 114 & 800. Best for boots and slippers with a comfortable fit. Order your normal Rancourt size. Sizing Gude
I received these last spring and have not worn them until now. I wore them on walks for the last two weeks and they broke in very quickly. Even though the leather is quite thick, they molded perfectly to my foot, i did buy 1/2 size smaller than my street shoes because I didn’t want to have to wear thick socks with them. Ankle support is outstanding. I’m looking forward to wearing these boots for hunting. I usually can’t wait to get my boots off, with these I’m happy to put them on in the morning!
My first true moccasin construction boots, these are every bit as comfortable as expected. I love the idea of supporting an American made product and very much appreciate the craftsmanship that went into these boots. My only disappointment was the lack of water resistance I experienced in my first outdoor wearing. Walking through 6" high wet grass immediately soaked the leather and dampened my socks. I have since treated the leather with a waterproofing cream, which did help quite a bit, but did not entirely solve the issue. I assume some water must be coming through the stitched seams. Not a dealbreaker, but I did expect more weather resistance out of the box.
